Welcome to The Old Pheasant Hotel located in the quaint countryside village of Glaston, Rutland. Glaston is one of the smaller villages in the county with a population of around 180. Interestingly in the year 2000, the village was part of a major archaeological dig.

In addition to the warm and friendly atmosphere, there is a cosy log burning stove opposite the bar! This adds to the homely effect, you won’t want to step foot outside on those colder days.

Food at The Old Pheasant is bold, fresh and full of flavour. They use only seasonal veg from local farms, the new owners have everything to perfection. you won’t believe your dining in a small village pub!
One of the things that stood out to us was the presentation of the food, It’s like that from a 5-star restaurant. Also on the menu, you will find daily specials, light bites and bar snacks.
The Old Pheasant Hotel is in the perfect location. Smack bang in the centre of Rutland which means Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford are all easily accessible.
There are also two reservoirs within easy reach, Rutland Water and Eyebrook reservoir. Rutland water is the largest man-made lake in Europe and offers some fantastic sports!
